The C-section Birth Experience

Moms-to-be often have a vision of the birth they’re hoping to have. However when circumstances change, mothers may worry that they’ll miss out on a vital part of the birthing experience. This can especially be true of a C-section delivery.

At St. Luke’s, we work with our C-section patients to ensure that both mother and baby receive the same care as a vaginal birth. This includes the important skin-to-skin time right after delivery that is so crucial to bonding.
